Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how JCR IT Services Pty Ltd t/a JCR Computers (JCR, we, us) collects, uses, stores, and discloses personal information through the RestorePath website at restorepath.io. JCR is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

RestorePath is a Microsoft 365 backup platform. This policy covers information collected through the marketing website only. Information processed inside the RestorePath product (your Microsoft 365 mailbox content, OneDrive files, SharePoint sites, and similar) is governed by the separate RestorePath Customer Agreement and the Data Processing Addendum you sign when you become a customer.

What we collect

From the website we only collect what you give us:

• Contact details you provide when you email hello@restorepath.io, book a demo, or request access to a beta workload (typically your name, work email, company, and any message you send).
• Basic server logs (IP address, user agent, referring URL, request path, timestamp) generated by Cloudflare when your browser loads a page. We use these for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate traffic understanding.

We do not run third-party advertising trackers, session replay tools, or behavioural analytics on this site. We do not buy, sell, or rent personal information.

How we use it

• To respond to your demo request, sales enquiry, or support question.
• To send you a follow-up email about RestorePath if you asked us to.
• To keep the website online, fast, and protected from abuse.
• To comply with our legal obligations, including Australian tax and corporate record-keeping requirements.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making and we do not profile you.

Cookies

The marketing site uses essential cookies only (for example, a session cookie set by Cloudflare to protect against denial of service). We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this site. If we add analytics in future we will update this policy and use a privacy-respecting tool that stores no personal identifiers.

Where data lives

The marketing website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare serves the site from its global CDN, which means a request originating in Australia is normally served from an Australian edge node. Cloudflare may transfer log data to its infrastructure in the United States and other jurisdictions for operational reasons (DDoS protection, abuse detection).

Email correspondence is processed through Microsoft 365 hosted in Australia. CRM and support records are stored on systems operated by JCR Computers in Sydney, New South Wales.

Who we share with

We share personal information only with the people and services we need to in order to run the business:

• Our hosting and infrastructure providers (Cloudflare, Microsoft).
• Our accountant, lawyer, or auditor, when they need access to do their job and are bound by their own confidentiality obligations.
• Australian regulators, courts, or law enforcement when we are legally required to do so.

We do not sell your information.

How long we keep it

We keep contact information for as long as you remain a prospect or customer, and for up to seven years after our last interaction so we can meet Australian record-keeping obligations. Server logs are rotated within 30 days unless they contain evidence of an active security incident.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
• Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
• Delete your information, subject to our legal obligations.
• Stop emailing you (we will always honour an unsubscribe).

Email privacy@restorepath.io with any of these requests. We will respond within 30 days as required by the Privacy Act.

How to complain

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, email privacy@restorepath.io with the details. We will investigate and reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can escalate to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
